Don't forget those nails

Buying clothes can make a whole in your budget real fast, so if you don't want to feel like you are wearing the same thing over and over and over again, invest in accessories.

Necklaces, earnings, sun shades, shoes, purses, bangles all of those are super fun to mix and match to get a whole new look.

Lately nails have been my go to accessories.

I just love a pop of color.

I just love that you can wear something simple like jeans ans t-shirt but having your nails done, give you the feeling that your outfit is more complete.

Here are a few of my favorite shades for spring

  2. Do you have some favourite brands in terms of formulation/ease of application? I tried one kind from Sally Hansen, and it was so gloppy and messy that I had to throw the whole bottle away. I just got one from Essie (in Mesmerized) that I like (though I find I'm not liking blue nails quite as much as I thought I would...).

    1. I think the instadry from Sally Hansen is a fav (for beginners nail painters) for it ease and how dry it dries, also you only need 1 coat for a full coverage.

Essie has beautiful colors but in my experience need 3 to 4 coats to have a nice opacity, but they do are long lasting (I would say they are good if you are willing to take some time to do your nails) using "Dry & Go Drops" will cut down the drying time a lot. I actually am loving that brand more and more

covergirl is good price wise, but I find that they do tend to chip easily and I guess you are busy and are using you hands a lot (just a wild guess lol) so if you are planning to wear a color just for a day or 2 this brand would be ok.

Tried cheap brand but wasn't happy with them, so I won't name or even recommend them.

Oh and about the color, remember that summer get your hands a darker shade then winter, and one color might not look that great in the summer but better in the winter season.

other then that, experience with brand, using a top coat can help prevent the chipping from happening, but I don't bother with it, I like to change color often.

      Hope this answers your question

    2. I only do my toes...painting my nails is not my favourite thing to do, and I'd have to do it way too often for my liking if I did it on my hands. I love Essie's variety of colours. I have China Glaze base coat and top coat. I do that, and two layers of Essie colour, and it looks nice for about two weeks on my toes.
I like the idea of just doing one coat total, but I'm really reluctant to try Sally Hansen again when my last experience was so bad.
